The Board of Directors of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award USA announced on August 1, 2024 the appointment of Suzanne J. Currie as Chief Executive Officer. Suzanne J. Currie has a distinguished career spanning both Wall Street, the Financial Services sectors and Philanthropy, having served on boards of non-profits. Her experience has provided her with a strong foundation for her current role as Chief Executive Officer of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award USA, where she will leverage her extensive network for fundraising and expertise to advance the organization’s mission to provide non-formal education programs to students ages 14-24 in all 50 states. Her appointment at The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award USA highlights her commitment to integrating philanthropy into the financial industry, bridging the gap between finance and charitable endeavors.Â
Suzanne is thrilled to join the global family of over 8 million young people who have participated in and achieved the Bronze, Silver, and Gold Awards. Suzanne said, “I am incredibly excited about the potential of the Duke of Edinburgh Award US to make a profound impact on the lives of young people across the United States.  Our vision is to expand our reach, empowering thousands of youths to discover their potential, develop critical life skills, and become the future leaders of both America and globally.
