If your organization is ready to deliver the Award, or if you have new staff joining your Award program, register for the necessary Award Coordinator Training or Adventurous Journey Supervisor & Assessor Training.
Award Coordinator Training
The Award Coordinator Course provides internationally valuable certification as an Award Leader. This course provides Award volunteers with the knowledge and skills required to support Award Participants through their Award journey. This involves mentoring, reflection, and professional development using the Cognitive Coaching methodology.
AJ Supervisor & Assessor Training
The Adventurous Journey (AJ) Supervisor and Assessor Course, similarly, provides international certification of your Award training. The AJ SAT provides the skills to prepare, conduct and evaluate an Award-specific outdoor adventure in line with the experiential learning philosophy of The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award USA.
Train the Trainer
The Train the Trainer course is designed for organizations who have successfully delivered an Award program for three years or more, becoming and accredited Award Unit or larger umbrella organizations becoming an Operating Authority, ready to assume internal responsibility for aspects of their Award Program, including delivering certified internal training courses.
Trainings occur approximately quarterly in different locations around the country. Click on an individual training to learn details for that training.
