Online Award Delivery Training

The Award Delivery course provides an international certification for Award Coordinators and Adventurous Journey Supervisors and Assessors. The course provides trainees with the knowledge and skills required to implement the Award program successfully in their organizations and support participants through their Award Journeys. It also qualifies them to train others to serve as Award Leaders and Adventurous Journey Supervisors and Assessors.

If your organization is ready to start delivering the Award, or if you have new staff or volunteers joining your Award team, please register for our upcoming Online Award Delivery Training. Please note: your organization must complete the Award licensing process prior to training Award Coordinators.

PART ONE: Award Induction

New Award Coordinators will take online modules on Award Induction, Award Delivery, the Online Record Book, and the Adventurous Journey Pre-Learning.

PART TWO: Award Center Management

After completing part one, new Award Coordinators will learn about Award Management, including how to run the Award, best practices to sustain an effective Award Center, roles and responsibilities, and license requirements and review. This course will be offered via video conference in two parts and will be scheduled based on Award Coordinator availability.

PART THREE: Onboarding your Award Center

For new Award Centers, individual meetings will be set up with your Award Center by your Program Officer for 1:1 support and to check in on your annual plan, recruitment, award ceremonies, licensure, and more. You will have your Award Center-specific questions answered and further resources provided upon request.

PART FOUR: Continuing Education

We will host monthly trainings on a variety of topics that often arise when delivering the Award. These sessions are available to all Award Coordinators, Award Leaders, and other adults delivering the Award. Here are example topics we have covered:

  • Planning and Preparing for an Adventurous Journey
  • Employing Cognitive Coaching to Develop Self-Reflection
