Training

If your organization is ready to start delivering the Award, or if you have new staff or volunteers joining your Award team, please register for an upcoming Award Delivery Training. Training courses are held quarterly in various locations throughout the United States.

Please note: your organization must complete the Award licensing process prior to sending representatives to the training.

Award Delivery Training

The Award Delivery course provides an international certification for Award Coordinators and Adventurous Journey Supervisors and Assessors. The course provides trainees with the knowledge and skills required to implement the Award program successfully in their organization and support participants through their Award journey. It also qualifies them to train others to serve as Award Leaders and Adventurous Journey Supervisors and Assessors.

Refund Policy: Refunds will not be provided after the training has been confirmed and the confirmation email is sent. For the Winter 2020 training, confirmation will occur by January 2, 2020. For the Spring 2020 training, confirmation will occur by March 11, 2020.

WINTER QUARTER

Award Delivery Training (ADT)
Dates: Tuesday, January 28 – Wednesday, January 29
Time:  8:30am-5:00pm
Location:  HUB International, 300 N LaSalle Street, Chicago, IL 60654
Cost: $200. Includes training and materials; light breakfast; and lunch.

Travel Advisory:  Attendees of the ADT should plan to arrive in the Chicago area on or before January 27  in preparation for the training, and should ensure that travel arrangements do not require them to depart the training prior to 5pm on January 29. All sessions will be confirmed by January 2, 2020.  Please wait to make travel arrangements until your session confirmation has been received.

SPRING QUARTER

Award Delivery Training (ADT)
Dates: Wednesday, April 1 – Thursday, April 2
Time:  8:30am-5:00pm
Location: BSA Sea Base, 73800 Overseas Highway, Islamorada, FL 33036
Cost: $200. Includes training and materials; all meals and snacks; and accommodations at the Sea Base facility.

Travel Advisory:  Attendees of the ADT should plan to arrive in the Florida Keys area on or before April 1 in preparation for the training, and should ensure that travel arrangements do not require them to depart the training prior to 5pm on April 2. All sessions will be confirmed by March 11, 2020.  Please wait to make travel arrangements until your session confirmation has been received. Accommodations are available for the nights of March 31, April 1, and April 2.
